The Games

Game 1

Gametype: Team Slayer
Rules: 50 Kills
Map: Ascension
Stats: Halo 2 Game Stats
Duration: 10:31

It was noticed that before the match started, that everyone was a level 12 (except Wahwah who was a level 11). This would make for a very close series of matches. Anyway on to the forst match. DVDF picked the first map, Ascension for their slayer match. The match was a very close affair, with no team really getting the advantage. Evilpoo was complaining of lag the whole way through, but still ended up with the most kills. After a tense 10 minutes, Sacred Remains won 50 to 48.

Most Kills: Evilpoo (15)
Most Medals: Evilpoo (7)
Most Deaths: laemus (16)

Final Score: 50-48 Sacred Remains Wins

Game 2

Gametype: Team Slayer
Rules: 50 Kills
Map: Lockout
Stats: Halo 2 Game Stats
Duration: 8:54

Next Sacred Remains picked Lockout for their slayer match. This is probably DVDF's most played map, and it showed, with us winning 50 - 34. Pete Betros led the way with 18 kills, nearly twice as much as anyone on the other team.

Most Kills: Pete Betros (18)
Most Medals: Pete Betros / Evilpoo (5)
Most Deaths: Wahwah UK (16)

Final Score: 50-34 DVDF Wins

Game 3

Gametype: 1 Flag CTF
Rules: 4 Rounds
Map: Lockout
Stats: Halo 2 Game Stats
Duration: 11:31

Next a bit of 1 Flag CTF. DVDF again picked Lockout for their map. The first round saw Sacred Remains on offense, and after a struggle managed to get the flag almost back to their base. Only a last gasp bit of sword play by Pete Betros stopped them from scoring. Next was DVDF's turn. After a bit of messing around, we managed to get their flag with out too much trouble. The next two rounds went even better for DVDF, with Sacred Remains hardly getting the flag out of our base and then in the final round DVDF going on to score a second flag capture with out too much resistance.

Most Kills: nutter45 (25)
Most Medals: nutter45 / Pete Betros (17)
Most Deaths: MW Jimmy (22)

Final Score: 2-0 DVDF Wins

Game 4

Gametype: 1 Flag CTF
Rules: 4 Rounds
Map: Zanzibar
Stats: Halo 2 Game Stats
Duration: 13:54

The second CTF match was on Zanzibar. Sacred Remains decided that as this was a bigger map the flag return time would now be 30 seconds (not to Evilpoo's liking). Sacred Remains went first on offense and managed to get the flag half way across the map, but due to some great defense, failed to score. DVDF's first attempt at offense was even worse. We hardly managed to even touch the flag. This was now looking like a draw when Sacred Remains failed on their second offense, but due to some great team work, DVDF managed to get the flag back to base to score for the win. This now put DVDF 3 - 1 in front with two matches to go, we couldn't lose...

Most Kills: nutter45 (17)
Most Medals: Pete Betros (11)
Most Deaths: MW Jimmy (16)

Final Score: 1-0 DVDF Wins

Game 5

Gametype: Single Bomb
Rules: 4 Rounds
Map: Zanzibar
Stats: Halo 2 Game Stats
Duration: 15:02

Assault on Zanzibar was DVDF's next choice. This was probably the worst match of the evening, with organized defense, no team really had the opportunity to score and the game finished in a 0 - 0 draw, which of course means that DVDF have now won the clan match (3 - 1, with 1 game to go).

Most Kills: Pete Betros (17)
Most Medals: Pete Betros (8)
Most Deaths: MW Jimmy (15)

Final Score: 0-0 Draw

Final Score

DVDF 3 - 1 Sacred Remains

The Final Word

We were now ready for our last, if rather pointless game, but Sacred Remains decided amongst them selves that they would not bother as they could not now win. So we congratulated each other on a very well played match and left to celebrate our fantastic win.

I would just like to thank everyone who took part in a great match: Evilpoo, laemus, MW Jimmy, nutter45, Pete Betros, sithlordx, DVDF Terahertz, and Wahwah UK. Although there was a bit of lag at times (this happened to both teams equally IMO) we all had fun. Hopefully we can enjoy some more matches in the future.
