Ah, the long awaited rematch between the DVDF-Xbox Clan and The Elite Renegades. After humiliating us in the first match, the DVDF Clan were up for some revenge. The first match was Team Slayer on Lockout. Being the DVDF’s most played map, we were hoping for a good start, and we got it. After taking an early lead, we never looked like giving it up. Using the little known Team Work glitch, we managed to put up our tents and camp out the game in the Sniper Tower. Eventually after a hectic 12 minutes or so, DVDF came out a comfortable 100 to 75 winners.

Game 2

Rules: 4 Rounds
Map: Headlong

On to the second match, and in a slight change from the advertised schedule, we all decided to change the rules and go with a CTF game rather than Team Slayer. The Elite Renegades chose Headlong as their map of choice and were first up on defence. Luckily, Headlong is one of the DVDF’s favourite maps, so we knew what to do. Getting all the decent weapons, DVDF managed to get the flag back to base with plenty of time to spare. Things were looking good indeed. Things went from good to great after TER’s first offence. DVDF put up a fantastic defence, with TER never really looking like getting the flag. With confidence high, DVDF went into their second offence knowing that if they scored, they would not only win the game, but secure the clan match. Well, TER must have known this as well, because they completely owned DVDF. I can’t exactly remember, but I don’t think anyone even touched the flag. Oh, well, DVDF could still win by stopping TER on the last round. All was going well, TER were getting nowhere that is until the last 30 seconds of the game. Somehow, TER managed to grab the flag, and instead of going out the front door, sneaked round the back to get the easy score. 1 - 1 and all to play for in the last match.

Game 3

Map: Zanzibar

Ah, the final round and all to play for. DVDF could not loose, but knew that failure in this game would result in an overall draw. Again, we decided to go with a CTF game, but this time on Zanzibar. DVDF were first up on offence. Zanzibar is another one of the DVDF’s most played maps, but for some reason we just didn’t click. Never really getting anywhere near the flag, TER putting up a great effort on defence. TER’s first offence went pretty much the same way. That was until one of their tam lagged out and they went down to 4 players. For some strange reason, this forced them into working as a team, and they proceeded to dominate the DVDF team and get the flag back to their base with no real opposition. Oh, crap, this meant that DVDF had to score on their last offence if they wanted any hope of winning the match. Luckily, half way through the round, TER got their missing man back, and lost their super-human team work skills with it. DVDF still made a meal of getting the flag back, but eventually managed it with a few seconds to spare. The last round... The whole game resting in the balance... TER was back to full strength, but the DVDF guys were determined not to loose yet another clan match. Putting up a super human effort on defence, the DVDF managed to hold out for a draw and thus, secure the clan match 1 - 0. Yay, we had won...
